Verizon Expands it’s Horizon

Verizon Communication Inc. is beginning its quest to enter the Canadian mobile telephone business, by buying out a small Canadian company such as Wind, Mobilibity, and Public Mobile.  These existing companies were established with the idea to drive down Canadian mobile rates.  They were successful in doing such; the only issue was they had a hard time bringing in any profit.

Verizon is currently working on spreading its horizon further by providing free webinars for parents and caregivers to help teach their children responsible use of mobile devices.

Being environmentally friendly in today’s standards can make or break a sale for a company, so Verizon has branched out to the Green World.  Verizon raised awareness on World Environmental Day, by sponsoring events and festivals to help drawl in new consumers and users.

Verizon also is striving to become more ‘green’ by introducing Bloom Energy fuel cells system to a number of their facilities across the nation.  The company has invested over $100 million in a solar and fuel cell energy project.  The project is designed to generate over 90 million kilowatt hours of its own green energy annually, once established in the next year.

As the largest mobile company in the country, Verizon is continuously finding innovative ways to create consumer awareness, while branching out to new consumers across country lines.
