Google: “Nexus Experience”

Android has come out with two phones in 2013 – the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the HTC One – and both will be completely powered by Google.  Google has developed a version of Android that “will run an Android phone the way Google had intended.”

Google’s new stock version of Android has been referred to as the “Nexus Experience”.  The Nexus Experience phones will be exclusive to the Google Play store, with some strong differences from the past Nexus devices.  Google hopes the Nexus Experience phones will enable the search engine giant to regain control of the Android operating system, which many believe they were losing grip of.

What makes the Nexus Experience great? Unlike every computer and mobile device in the past, each with a similar set up. A setup designed to help workers transition between the physical work environment to the digital one. Google realized that the phones setup was out  if date and needed to be modeled to keep up with the change of suer preferences  One of the new features of the HTC One is an all new homepage, which is easily customized to fit any users preferences.  HTC realized  80% of users don’t change their homepage after the first month of use.  HTC along, with Google’s help, has designed a new home page system, BlinkFeed.  With BlinkFeed  every time your HTC One powers up the homepage will be full of new content from Facebook and other social feeds, along with information generated by HTC’s premier content partner.

The Nexus Experience enhances the audio and camera experience dramatically from its past nexus devices.  To ensure a quality audio experience for any sound, BoomSound was created.  Two front facing speakers and a powerful amplifier, combined with Beats Audio, the sound quality of the new HTC One is unreal.

In the past companies have been in non-stop battle trying to produce the best camera for a phone.  Trying to cram as many megapixels as possible in a camera, with the old cliché of “bigger is always better” in mind companies became obsessed with the concept.  The new Nexus Experience camera will be the first to feature Ultrapixels.  Allowing in more light and greatly increasing the overall quality of pictures taken.
