Yahoo Fantasy Football App

If you are a football fan, then you know that this time of year is one of the most competitive times between colleagues and friends. It’s a time where you can try your hand at being the owner of a team and being the coach at the same time. Yahoo Fantasy Football is one of the main sites that fantasy teams are formed on and they have a good app for it.

The days of going on the computer are almost over. Soon everything will be accessible by some smart device. From iPhones to tablets, Yahoo’s Fantasy Football App is a free for all devices. It takes fantasy football to whole new level.  While watching football I have this app right there on my phone catching all the crumbs and bits of spilt beer, watching my team crush or be crushed by others.

It’s a big social tool, and my buddies and I are all gathered around every Sunday making trades, talking smack, or yelling at each other. All the yelling ends up being directed toward the TV, because the App allows us to know what is going on with each other’s team and players. By the end of it were exhausted and have lost our voices. Even if you aren’t watching TV the mobile app allows you to participate from anywhere.

The Fantasy Football App could be better.  It doesn’t allow you to send messages to other teams, which is kind of a bummer when you’re in the competitive state of mind. It doesn’t allow you to vote on matchups to see whose predictions will be the best for the week. A big problem it has is the lack of information when adding or dropping players. It allows you to quickly manage your teams, but it’s a bit difficult and I rather do it online so I don’t make a mistake on knock myself out of the running for the championships.  I do like how it allows you to keep track of your transactions, players and other teams with just a few touches of the screen.

Yahoo did a decent job with this app, but there are some improvements to be made. I would recommend this app to anyone who is interested in fantasy football or has a competitive nature. Good luck to all!
